Harmont & Blaine · Bassotto
An in-store screen game: Blaine the dachshund steers customers to the right outfit, one swipe at a time.
The brief
Harmont & Blaine wanted to turn its stores and Urban Monitors into interactive touchpoints: a few seconds of play that would point customers to outfits for the occasion, reward them, and build a style profile the brand owns, linking store, e-commerce and a future app.
What we did
We designed an on-screen gamification format hosted by Blaine, the brand's dachshund. The screen wakes up when someone walks past or touches it; Blaine asks "What outfit do you need today?"; customers choose menswear or womenswear and the occasion, then swipe to keep or skip each piece. A modular avatar (head, torso, legs, feet) builds the look from real garments linked to in-store and online products. Each session ends with a score and a coupon or offer pack, sent by QR code, text or app. We designed and animated Blaine and prototyped the whole user flow.
The outcome
The concept and flow prototype were presented to Harmont & Blaine, together with the reward system, data capture and project KPIs. The format is built to grow into a mobile app and, later, a smart mirror that reads the colours you're wearing and suggests what goes with them.
