Helios & Thalassa

Helios & Thalassa is a B&B in Monasterace Marina, on Calabria's Ionian coast, and its name joins the sun and the sea. It needed an identity for everything guests see and touch: stationery, bed linen, beach towels, the breakfast table. That meant a recognisable, consistent mark that stays true to itself on any material, in print or in thread.

We designed the symbol, a sun rising over the sea inside a circle, the H&T monogram and a soft, almost handwritten logotype, with a palette of sand, gold and sea blue in several shades. The brand guidelines bring together the logo versions for light and dark backgrounds, three patterns drawn from the brand and its applications: business cards, notebooks, cushions, embroidered bed linen and towels, beach towels, placemats, shoppers, toiletry bags and wallpaper.

The B&B now has a recognisable, coordinated look, ready to print and embroider on paper, linen, towels and accessories, with clear rules so it's always used the same way.
