CMS
Photography, video, graphics and uniforms for a maker of sheet-metal machinery, plus a brand for its new EDGE line.

The brief
CMS – Costruzioni Macchine Speciali has been designing and building special machines and automated lines for industry since 1973. Founded in Turin and now based in Simbario, Calabria, it works mainly for tinsmiths and sheet-metal companies, and alongside its bespoke machines it has launched EDGE Line, a range of machines selected and customised by its own engineers. It wanted communication that matched its engineering, for Italy and for export markets, and a recognisable brand for the new line.
What we did
We designed the EDGE Line brand, an orange and anthracite hexagon that echoes the CMS symbol, with its variants, a Pantone palette and the files for applying it to the machines. We photographed the company: the tinsmithing accessories its machines produce (elbows, outlets, brackets, rosettes), the technical office, the workshop, the machining department and the machines themselves, from uncoilers to presses. We shot and edited the product videos (Aspo a Balzo Doppio, EasyPress 2T, Edge Bend and Isola Universale) and the social reels, and produced the machine graphics for the website, the data sheets, the catalogue and the company profile. For the staff we designed uniforms with the CMS and EDGE logos embroidered: polo shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, softshells, work jackets and trousers.
The outcome
Coordinated communication for two brands, CMS and EDGE Line: photos and videos for the website and social media, data sheets and a catalogue for the sales network, a company profile for trade missions abroad, and uniforms that carry the logos onto the workshop floor.
