4MAPP
A map and an app for the 2025 Jubilee: Rome's seven-church pilgrimage, made phygital.

The brief
4MAPP is an innovative Rome-based start-up that blends physical and digital tools for tourism and major events. For the 2025 Jubilee it needed a format to guide pilgrims and visitors along the route of the seven Jubilee churches: accessible to everyone, and just as useful for families with children or people travelling with pets.
What we did
We designed the phygital format: a physical map, a navigation app and dedicated merchandise, all linked by QR codes. The map of the Seven Churches route is hand-illustrated, with the itinerary, points of interest and links to deeper content, in an eco edition on recycled paper and a premium edition on technical fabric. We designed the app screens, with GPS navigation along the route, cultural content, tools for pilgrims and filters for accessibility, sustainability, families and pets. For younger visitors the format also includes Holy Helper, the pixel-art mobile game, which has a page of its own.
The outcome
One format that adapts to any theme or partner: the map and the app can be branded with a sponsor's identity, stores and content, and the merchandise is co-branded with the Jubilee.
